About Princess Greta
Hello! My name is Greta, and I am the owner of “Fun at First Sight Fairytale Parties.” I have always had a love for fairytales, and the magical hopes and dreams that they share. Personally, I feel that it is important to not leave these wonderful opportunities for joy on just a page in a book or on a television screen. Rather, I am overjoyed at the thought of bringing cherished, wholesome characters to life, in order to spread some happiness in the world.
I have had a lot of experience with leading children in crafts and events, as I volunteered at my local library for eight years and ran weekly programs during the summer. Also, I was a volunteer for the Scott County Historical Society for three years and aided their Program Manager in running many events for kids. Additionally, I was part of my local High School’s Robotics Team for two years, and returned as a mentor for the new members. Further, I was part of the Scott County Library’s Teen Advisory Board for four years; where I collaborated with other members to create and run fun programs for little ones. Another area of note, is that I was part of a Reader’s Theater Group when I was twelve. This experience helped me to learn about the importance of voice inflections and tone – which aids me greatly when I need to convincingly change character voices.
Currently, I graduated from Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, with an Associate of Arts degree and Communication Studies Certificate. On top of this, I have successfully babysat for many different families, and still have friendly ties with them all. I worked as a library aide for almost two years, but have not been able to readily work in this position since Covid-19. Finally, after completing some seasonal jobs, I have been working part-time at a print shop.
I am truly delighted and excited to bring the magic of fairytales to life and to encourage children’s sweet innocence of believing.
